They start with unclear decisions, messy workflows, and teams pulling in different directions. My job is to bring clarity to those problems, then help the team turn that clarity into something people can use.

I’m Shashank, a Product Design Lead with 7+ years across B2B SaaS, fintech, AI, and operational products. I’ve been a Founding Designer twice, including YC, and now spend as much time helping designers become better product thinkers as I do designing the product myself.

I provided design leadership across 3 global client teams, coaching 3–5 designers while working closely with founders, Product, and Engineering.

• Built stronger design teams through critique, QA, coaching, and clearer decision-making.

• Shaped product direction when the problem was still ambiguous and the roadmap wasn’t enough.

• Built lightweight design systems and rituals that helped teams work with more autonomy.

• Stayed hands-on across AI workflows, B2B systems, dashboards, and 0→1 products.

The goal was simple: make the team better, not make myself indispensable.

At Cone (YC S22), I led product design for a fintech platform used by 400+ UK accounting firms, spanning complex workflows, permissions, onboarding, and AI-assisted experiences.

At Citygen, I designed 3 connected products for a 40K+ user govtech platform, from field operations to citizen services. The product became an Global finalist for the $400K ADB Innovation Challenge.

How I work

I believe good design leadership is less about having all the answers and more about helping the team ask better questions.

I care about clear thinking, strong craft, useful critique, and designers who can own problems without waiting for permission.
